Renaming Precincts in the System
Precincts in the system represent designated geographic areas used to organize elections and voter-related activities. Each precinct has clearly defined boundaries and is typically associated with a polling location. Managing precinct names is critical for maintaining up-to-date voter communication and outreach strategies.
Users with Client Admin or Super Admin roles can rename precincts to reflect updated naming conventions, boundary changes, or organizational requirements.
Accessing and Navigating "Rename Precincts"
Follow these steps to access and use the Rename Precincts feature in the system:
- Logging In
- Click on the “Login” option at the top right corner of the page.
- Enter your login credentials to access the system.
- This feature is available to users with Client Admin or Super Admin roles only.
- Locating the "Precincts Management" Menu
- Navigate to the black top menu and hover over the “Pages” tab.
- In the dropdown, hover over “Precincts Management”.
- Click on “Rename Precincts” from the submenu.
Click on “Rename Precincts” option, you can view and rename precincts as follows:
- The system will display a list of all precincts.
- Each precinct has an empty text box beside it to enter a new name.
- As you begin typing a new name, a “Save” button will appear.
- Click Save to update the precinct’s name.
- After saving, the updated name will automatically reflect across all pages in the application where that precinct name is displayed.
- This ensures consistency and up-to-date information throughout the system.
